More than 20 years ago the Langley School District recognised the important and vital link between home and school and the benefit for students to have their parents involved in their educational development.
One of the very important initiatives that were developed was the creation of a committee, wich would provide workshops for parents to support them in their role as parents.
What we Do
The Langley Parents as Partners in Learning committee plan and host 4 – 6 workshops per school year which are open to all interested parents. They are held in the evenings at local schools.
Our program generally includes one major speaker each year as well as several smaller workshops and/or series of workshops. We also offer “parent and child” workshops when appropriate.
How we Do It
Langley Parents as Partners in Learning receives no funding from the school district. A nominal fee is charged for our workshops to cover expenses including advertising, facility rental, and speaker fees.
Much thanks goes out to the following organizations for their support:

Aldergrove Neighbourhood Services
Langley School Board
